Student Activities

• Mentoring

  Students visit local elementary and middle schools and help students who have difficulty in English. Mentoring experience helps students become aware of the challenges of actual classrooms and become ready for their practicum in the 4 th year.

• Practicum

  Fourth year students participate in a practicum in May, which gives students the opportunity to practice what they have learned throughout the English education program. Students teach students and are advised by their super-vising teachers during this period.
  
  

• Fall Festival

  Fourth year students participate in a practicum in May, which gives students the opportunity to practice what they have learned throughout the English education program. Students teach students and are advised by their supervising teachers during this period.

• Study Abroad Program

  In the fall semester, the English Education department hosts a festival to encourage collaborative team work among students and to solidify membership in the department. It consists of a variety of performances including a teaching competition, skits, and music performances.
